  ADVENT EVENING PRAYER
  ~ VESPERS ~ Tuesday, November 29 at 7:00pm All are welcome to gather in SHJ church
  for a special Advent evening prayer.
  This “Prayer of the Church,” is a
  combination of readings, psalms, songs and prayers
  focusing on the coming of Christ. It is a brief time
  (about 40-45 minutes) which calls us to slow down.
  It is an attempt to remind us of the need to use this
  holy season as a way to quiet ourselves in the midst
  of what is often referred to as the most hectic time of
  the year. All who attend will receive a “Prayer
  Twig,” which will then be placed in the Creche
  before the baby Jesus on Christmas. Take a little
  time for yourself and for Christ this Tuesday evening
  as we pray with one another in joyful anticipation of
  the coming of Christ this Christmas.
